Getting Help in a Crisis

Please follow the guidance below if you, a friend or someone you know is in mental health crisis and needs advice or help.

In Office Hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm)

If you (or they) live in Wandsworth or surrounding boroughs and are a patient of South West London & St Georges NHS Trust (Main Number 020 3513 5000) and your (or their) condition deteriorates you can contact the person you/they usually see such as a care co-ordinator or named lead professional. 

If you (or they) live in Westminster or neighbouring boroughs in North West London and are a patient of Central and North West London NHS Trust (Main Number 020 3214 5700) and are in need of help or advice about your (or their) mental health you can contact the person you/they usually see such as a care co-ordinator or named lead professional.

If this is the first time you have needed help for a mental health crisis and it is during normal office hours, you should contact your GP, your family doctor. They will be able to refer you to the most appropriate mental health service in your area.

If you don't have a GP you can use the NHS Choices Service Search to find the nearest one to you.

Out of Hours (Monday to Friday 5pm to 9am and on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays)

In Wandsworth you should use the Crisis Line on:

If you are in extreme crisis, you think you might be at risk of seriously harming yourself or doing something which might harm someone else you should go to your nearest hospital A&E Department and ask for help or call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
