Housing Support Worker

Salary-23,000

37.5 hours a week

We are looking to recruit a Housing Support Worker for our service in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Housing team to help support people with mental health issues to maintain their accommodation, develop skills and ensure their recovery journey in the community.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in the field of mental health, a proven track record in support and housing resettlement. Some of the key areas are: income and expenditure management, support and tenant development, allocations and lettings, move on and resettlement and housing management.

Recovery Assistant Support Worker x 2 posts

12 month fixed term contracts

Salary:  20,209 pa (actual 16,205 pa)

Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster Mind are looking to recruit two Recovery Assistants Support Workers for our Housing service in Brent. These posts offer an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and broaden your experience in the mental health field. Your role will be to work alongside housing staff in the field to deliver support to people with mental health issues to help them maintain their accommodation, develop skills and ensure their recovery journey in the community.

Some of the key skills are:

         To provide intensive housing management support to people with mental health needs to enable them to maintain their tenancies and to achieve their aspirations for move on into independent accommodation.

         Carry out weekly and quarterly health and safety checks and reports.

         Carry out all resettlement support work with tenants within the core objective. Ensure all work is recovery focused and evidence based.

         Provide support as required to the Housing Services Manager.

If you have experience of working in the field of mental health, excellent communication skills and a commitment to helping people develop skills for independent living we would love to hear from you.
