URGENT - Temporary Housing Officer required:

Wandsworth and Westminster Mind

Housing Support Officer Temporary Vacancy –

6th June 2017

Temporary post (with potential to extend)  – Grade WM6 – £13.42 ph for up to 37.5 hours a week Immediate start

We are looking to recruit a Housing Support Officer for our service in Westminster and in Wandsworth. This is an exciting opportunity to support people with mental health issues to maintain their accommodation, develop skills and ensure their recovery journey in the community.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in the field of mental health, a proven track record in support and housing management, excellent communication skills and a commitment to helping people develop skills for independent living. 

Applicants must have a current DBS certificate (be on the DBS Register) and be available to start immediately.

Even though this is a temporary role we have a big service across two boroughs and there will always be further opportunities within our Housing Team and access to the Core Training and development within the service and organisation.

Key skills:

·         Recovery Support planning, needs assessment and risk assessment

·         Ability to maintain a caseload of supported housing clients, develop relationships and support people with mental health issues

·         Housing Management Experience

·         Innovative approach, ability to work independently as well as with teams

·         Working within a Recovery and person centred approach

·         Knowledge and experience of mental health framework including legislation, care planning and working approaches

·         Excellent Communication and team working skills

Fundraising and Communications Officer


  • Part-time 3 days (22.5 hours) a week
  • Starting salary:  £26,176  (£15,706 for 3 days)   
  • Location:  WW Mind Westminster Wellbeing Hub, Pimlico.
  • Annual Leave:  27 days a year plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time)

We are seeking a suitably experienced Fundraising and Communications Officer to join a small team to assist with the implementation of a new fundraising strategy. Your role will be primarily to generate new supporters and facilitate community fundraising activities, whilst further developing the organisation’s digital presence, online giving, and improving communications with donors and stakeholders. If you have a proven track record in fundraising with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, we would like to hear from you. 

The closing date for applications is 5.00 pm on 3 July 2017. Interviews will take place at our Osbert Street premises on 24 July 2017.

We are seeking a suitably experienced Grants and Trusts Fundraising Officer to join a small team to assist with the implementation of a new fundraising strategy. Your role will be primarily to develop a database of appropriate trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies and write compelling applications and case studies enabling the organisation to increase and diversify its voluntary income. If you have a proven track record in fundraising with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, we would like to hear from you.
